Cheeseburger meal is great. Added extra cheese curds, really glad i did. If i had to nitpick something it would be to cook the fries just a little longer. But thats simply personal preference. Overall really good place
Great Chicago Style Hot Dogs, No Ketchup!! Italian Beef is great, Love the Chilitos too. Family run, owner on site so everything is made perfect! Best fries too. Try the funnel fries for dessert. Best Hotdogs around. I don't like the rubbery Vienna beef dogs, these are real Frank's. Owner seems quiet and a bit grumpy but that's well worth the delicious food.
Literally the best cheese dogs in the Chicago land area. Other hot dog joints are raising prices so high you can barely enjoy a meal by yourself. I took my 4 children and their mother and paid 50 for us all to eat. I was very pleased with the food, service, and cost to eat. This is a favorite of mine, and now my families. Thank you very much for your effort.

Cute place. Bigger inside than it looks. Hot dogs are really good. Decent size. Cheese curds were really good too. Staff was slightly less than friendly but looked like maybe a family run place and the kids weren’t too jazzed to be working the counter. Whatever the case, I’ll be back.
Been going to Widens for years. Best hotdogs around! Fries are very good, fresh and hot. Hamburgers are also very good. The restaurant is always clean. Love this place!
Today I was finally able to go to Widen's. My adult kids told me I could get JR's style dogs. My experience was great, I ordered 3 2dogs w/ fries special. One special I asked for cheese dogs and a cup of cheese for my fries. I couldn't have been happier and will be going back. I got my JR's fix. If you are craving a JR's dog or anything that was on their menu, look no further. Widen's has what your looking for!!
I tried this place based off another review because the cheese for the cheese fries was supposedly like a restaurant named Jrs that closed years ago. I am extremely glad I did try Widens the cheese is EXACTLY like how Jrs used to be. I have searched for years to find cheese fries that use this particular cheese but was unsuccessful until now. The employees were also very friendly and polite. I ate the cheese fries in the car and had to go back to get another for later on that day. I am so glad I found this place. Definitely will be returning often .
